Proverbs 1:10-19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy son, if sinners entice you, do not be willing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mankind is sinful by nature. That\u2019s the absolute truth about us. It tells us that even though people try to do good things, there will be people that naturally, intentionally, and lovingly practice wicked things. Their passion and plans are highly driven by their diabolical mindset and desires. We can see these realities by just looking at newspapers and television and radio or even at social media news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wickedness is evident and rampant wherever you go. Therefore, as Christians, we must be aware that our culture, society, and world breathed sin. No wonder this Proverb is a timely reminder today of what to do when someone entices us to compromise our faith and convictions to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This passage is a counsel from a wise father to his immature son. It is very clear what this father wants for his son. He is saying, \u201cdo not compromise your faith in God\u201d and at the same time \u201cstand on and for godly convictions\u201d when people invite you to do sinful things regardless of your relationship with them whether it is a family member or close friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not give in even if they give you money, offer you pleasure, or fame. Do not give in to their brutality even if they coerce you or make you suffer. God will judge these people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verse 15 says \u201cMy son, do not walk in the way with them. withhold your feet from their pathway.\u201d<\/em> Whatever happens, refuse to follow their destructive path. Flee from them. As much as you can, speak the truth to them and pray for them, if they rejected your concerns and the truths that you are saying, there\u2019s no way that you can help them. Leave them to the Lord with hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for you and us, we will all be accountable for what we have done before our Creator. Run from \u201cgreediness\u201d because the bible says, \u201cIt takes away the life of its possessors.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not compromise your relationship with God in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there important things in your life that you have compromised?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
