{"id":1100,"date":"2022-12-17T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-17T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/purgingword.org\/?p=1100"},"modified":"2023-06-29T06:12:20","modified_gmt":"2023-06-29T06:12:20","slug":"wisdom-is-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/purgingword.org\/?p=1100","title":{"rendered":"Wisdom is Available"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:20px\"><strong>Proverbs 1:20-33<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:20px\"><em>\u201cBut he who listens to me shall live securely and will be at ease from the dread of evil.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:20px\">If wisdom is a person or a teacher, what would you expect her to do? The remaining portion of Proverbs chapter 1 speaks to us as if wisdom is a person. This is called personification. What can we learn from this person named \u201cwisdom?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:20px\">She said, <em>\u201cHow long, O naive ones, will you love being simple-minded? and scoffers delight themselves in scoffing and fools hate knowledge? Turn to my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you\u201d <\/em>(vv.22-23).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:20px\">She is calling every one of us to seek the right knowledge from her. She observes that many people have turned their backs on her and are not willing anymore to pursue her at all costs. No wonder many of these people are still suffering from the consequences of refusing wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Wisdom is available and must be pursued diligently. When we don\u2019t seek the correct wisdom from God, the stakes are so high. Calamity will come, anguish and distress will sweep us, there is no security and evil will eat us alive. In short, we will all perish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Wisdom is our weapon and a tool to live our life properly despite the reality of uncertainty. It is only by the fear of Yahweh that wisdom will be available and given to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:20px\">James 1:5 says, <em>\u201cBut if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.\u201d<\/em> God is not selfish. He will grant wisdom to those who desire it with a clear and humble heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-grey-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Do you seek and desire wisdom from God? Do you want it? Are you depending on yourself? Whatever desire you have right now, only God can give true wisdom.
