Proverbs 3:9-10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHonor Yahweh from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; So your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will burst with new wine.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

To \u201chonor\u201d Yahweh is to give Him the worthy recognition that is due to Him and His holy name. This means glorification of His goodness to us. Another way to honor our Yahweh is through giving back the blessings we have received or the first fruits of our production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In ancient times, giving your certain \u201cwealth and the first fruits of all your harvest\u201d as an offering is a form of worship. These gifts were put in the storehouse of the LORD and purposely used to supply the needs of the people of God. Yahweh doesn\u2019t need these things to supply His needs. God is not in need of things or anything. He owns everything even our life for \u201cThe earth is the LORD\u2019S, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 24:1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Yahweh wants<\/em> from us is our worship. What He wants<\/em> is for us to grow in giving and worship which is beneficial to the whole family of God. When the people of God obey this commandment, they do not run out of supplies. They have plenty because of God\u2019s outpouring blessing upon them \u201cyour barns will be filled with plenty.\u201d The favor of God is evident both as individuals and as a community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This principle is timeless. It is a matter of the heart for Yahweh and His will. When we keep the blessings of God to ourselves and do not honor God by giving back to Him for the sake of other people, we are withholding the coming blessings from God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We must worship Him through our offerings. What we have is NOT ours. Our wealth and health are God\u2019s gifts including our loved ones. This shows that through this principle, we are being used as a vessel of blessing for others too as we honor God with the blessings we have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A man who truly honors God gives from the heart and gives the best for God and NOT the spoiled crops and fruits. This means, we must not give our leftovers as worship to God but the fresh ones or simply what gives Yahweh honor and what reflects our love for Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be our financial gift to support the ministry and His people, it can be food that can feed the needy, perhaps clothes or any material thing that might be helpful for the welfare of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bottom line is that Yahweh must be honored through our wealth, health, and blessings He gave to us. Yahweh must be glorified in everything we received from Him to be useful and honorable in His kingdom. What a glorious opportunity to honor God is it not?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
