Our fallen culture teaches us many things that harm people and distort God\u2019s design for males and females. We can make a list of different issues about this matter pero ang isa sa mga main issues that we are going to address is about \u201csame-sex\u201d relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question is, \u201cIs it a sin to love someone and be in a relationship with the same sex?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To answer this question correctly, let\u2019s analyze the two problems in this question that I found confusing to people when they hear it and it has something to do with the meaning of these two words: 1) what does \u201clove\u201d mean here?<\/strong> and 2) what does relationship mean here?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malilito ka talaga if we cannot define the meaning of \u201clove<\/strong>\u201d and \u201crelationship<\/strong>\u201d in the context of this question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, this question has two questions in one question. Tanong about \u201clove<\/strong>\u201d at tanong tungkol sa \u201crelationship<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think this is a problem because, first, the word \u201clove\u201d has various meanings depending on the person. For example, for Linda, \u201clove\u201d means \u201cfriendly care,\u201d but for Lando, \u201clove\u201d means \u201csexual intercourse,\u201d while for Diego, \u201clove\u201d means \u201cromantic relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iba-iba sila ng kahulugan at pananaw sa salitang \u201clove\u201d o \u201cpagibig.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondly, ang kahulugan ng \u201crelationship\u201d ay iba-iba din. To some, it\u2019s an \u201cemotional connection,\u201d while to others it\u2019s a \u201cspiritual connectedness.\u201d Sa iba naman, it\u2019s like a \u201cmutual or shared bond between two people,\u201d it could be in \u201cblood,\u201d \u201ccovenant,\u201d or a \u201cvow\u201d between two people or \u201csexual (in marriage, opposite sex).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But let\u2019s approach the question by answering it from two perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question is, \u201cIs it a sin to love someone and be in a relationship with the same sex?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

YES! It is a SIN if you Go Against God\u2019s design for male and female affection and relationships.<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Bible is clear on this matter. Same-sex romantic love is NOT the will of God<\/strong>. If a male has sexual affection for another male, as if they are lifetime partners, whether living in cohabitation or separated, he is committing a sin against God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Bible, it is called \u201chomosexuality,\u201d to make it more accurate, it is called \u201cSodomy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genesis 19:5 says, \u201cand they called to Lot and said to him, \u201cWhere are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations<\/em><\/strong> (sexual act) with them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yahweh destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of their wicked practices that were rooted in their wicked affection and desires. One notable sin is homosexuality or same-sex relations and prostitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dito natin nakuha yung word na \u201csodomites\u201d which means people who practice homosexuality or same-sex relationship. It is an abnormal, unnatural affection, action, or behavior with the same gender. Whether it is an emotional affection or sexual action with the same sex, the Bible\u2019s verdict is clear: it is a sin against God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sex and any romantic affection are only designed between male and female relationships in wedlock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember, affection drives our actions. When the mind gives in to this cultural and Satanic deception, the emotion and inclination of any man will become slaves to wrong ideologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew 5:27-28 says, \u201cYou have heard that it was said, \u2018You shall not commit adultery.\u2019 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ooops, adultery agad? Why did I cite this text? It\u2019s about adultery. Ano ba ang point ni Jesus here?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Lord Jesus, affection is the core. Actions are just the manifestations of man\u2019s desire, whether good or bad. In this passage, adultery is undoubtedly a SIN, and it begins from the heart. Like our topic, if a male or female has an abnormal affection for the same sex, he or she is committing sin, and this sin is also aggravated when it continues to normalize and affirmed through entering<\/strong> a homosexual romantic and sexual relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can a female marry another female, or can a male marry another male? NO WAY! It is already settled in the eyes of God from Genesis to Revelation that marriage is exclusively between a man and a woman and so sex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is it a sin? The answer is unequivocally and a resounding \u201cyes!\u201d The other answer to the question, \u201cIs it a sin to love someone and be in a relationship with the same sex?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NO! it is NOT a SIN if what you mean by “love and relationship” Follows God\u2019s design for male and female.<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

On the positive side, we all have a relationship with the same gender. What do I mean by this? Well, I do not imply a sexual or romantic relationship but a healthy, God-honoring, brotherly, and familial love for people of the same gender. That\u2019s what I mean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of us have friends of the same gender. I have many male friends and love them, but my love for them is not like how I love my wife. My love for my male friends is brotherly and familial, and this applies to my female friends as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only my wife can experience my romantic affection and intimate love spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically or sexually in the marriage bed and not to anyone else. This is the design of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, can a male or a female show love to the same gender? Yes, if it is the right kind of love, a God-honoring love that described by Jesus and the Bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can a man or woman express affection to the same gender? Yes. Basta tama ang uri ng affection at hindi lumalagpas sa disenyo ng Lord for male and female.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrapping Up<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Heterosexual males or females can commit the sin of adultery with the opposite sex within our hearts even without acting upon it. This applies to homosexual males or females. Sin begins from our hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are all sinners; it is absolutely wrong to say that homosexuals are more sinful than heterosexuals or vice-versa. Both are sinners; both need to be washed and saved by grace in Christ Jesus, and both need the Savior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1Cor. 6:9-11<\/strong> \u2013 9<\/sup> \u201cOr do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10<\/sup> nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11<\/sup> Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We must know our design and follow the Lord\u2019s will for us as male or female. Whether you are a male or female struggling with heterosexual or homosexual sins, you must repent from it, completely turn away from this sin, and seek God\u2019s forgiveness, grace, and salvation in Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, let\u2019s show the right kind of love for every person by telling the truth about God\u2019s will for each gender (male and female) and by showing the love of Christ to all through a gospel-centered lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord is gracious to save you from this sin. Come and be saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
